I’ve been a triathlete for 5 years now. I started with Julie Stevens nearly 1 year ago after suffering from recurrent stress fractures. Julie has provided incredible personalised coaching and training plans that have addressed all of my goals. Her coaching and plans are comprehensive, challenging and interesting. Julie clearly knows the science behind sport, physically and mentally, and how to get results. Since training with Julie I have achieved results I never thought possible, including winning my age group at Cairns 70.3 and qualifying for the World Championships. plus ongoing PBs. I moved to Australia from Ireland in 2021 and soon after was keen to get involved in the local triathlon scene. After multiple google searches I reached out to Chloe and haven’t look back since.
Joining Fastlane has not only improved my ability as an athlete, but has given me access to a community of like minded people who have made Adelaide feel like a home away from home.
Juggling shift work and training used to pose logistical challenges for me, but Chloe has been able to seamlessly streamline the process, tailoring the plan to my weekly needs. With each passing week, I found myself growing fitter, stronger, and more confident in all facets of triathlon, all while maintaining an injury-free journey.
On a personal level I’ve podiumed at local races, as well as 70.3 and qualified for world championships - something I never would have even dreamt of prior to joining fast lane.
I’ve also had the pleasure of joining Julie at group sessions in the city which I have immensely enjoyed, there’s not many other things in life that I would jump out of bed for at 5am- but knowing I’m meeting up with a friendly and encouraging group of people is all the motivation I need.

I joined Fast Lane Coaching as a complete beginner. I had not engaged with any form of proper exercise for nearly 7 years, I didn’t know how to swim, and never jumped on a road bike before. However, after engaging with Jenny Evans as my coach I was soon taken from zero to completing my first triathlon in under 6 months!
Jenny has the incredible ability to guide you on a journey that goes beyond the technical stuff to get you to race day. I was given the Fast Lane email by a friend who knew I wanted to do an Ultra Marathon and told to go with Chloe Lane.
That’s about all I was told and being a sheep like I am, I followed and went in blind.
Turns out it was the best advice I’ve ever been given!
Now I don’t want to blow too much smoke but from the very beginning (and I hadn’t even met Chloe yet) Chloe was VERY patient, especially in regards with technology.
When I finally went to my first training session with the run group (nervous I wasn’t going to be good enough) Chloe was so friendly and welcoming, as was the rest of the group, I was at ease straight away.
Chloe is an outright professional who genuinely cares about her people and getting the best out of them.
Needless to say my story continues because Chloe (and I don’t know how she’s done it) has awoken a love for running in me I didn’t know was there.

Late 2020 was the start of my triathlon journey when my son and my grandson thought it would be a significant thing if we could all enter our first event together. Not coming from an athletic background I was initially terrified of the idea but we did it and I have progressed from those clumsy early forays into the world of triathlon to completing Ironman Cairns within three years.
Training for Cairns was my reason for joining Fast Lane Coaching. My son was now being trained by Chloe and I had joined in on the structured and very beneficial weekly run training sessions. But it was now time for me to get professional training and guidance.
Chloe has been coaching me for almost a year now and has provided the expertise, the training structure, enhanced the motivation and encouraged the commitment to stretch myself further than I imagined I could.
Her coaching is professional, subtle, and encouraging. Chloe helps you to understand the mechanics of what you are doing, how the training will benefit you, how you find the best from yourself, and all the while encouraging you to enjoy your journey. And it works.
Working with you, she suggests small changes in execution which, over time, make measurable improvements. Advice and guidance on race preparation including race plans and hydration and nutrition guidance brings it all together.
The training is individually tailored but the added benefits of training with the FLC team accelerate your progress. I competed in my first triathlon when I was 60 and, of course, I am a few years older now but I train at Fast Lane Coaching with people of all ages. The encouragement, support and feedback within the group is fantastic and is something I felt good about right from the very start. There is great team spirit at FLC and I really enjoy being part of it.
